Nader want’s a debate… So do I, don’t we all!
I challenge Ralph Nader to a debate - To VOTE or not to VOTE? - that is the debate.
Politicians and candidates make promises about the future only to let us down again and again… why not debate on something that matters and matters NOW! Something like the myth of ‘getting out the vote’, and why ‘we the people’ should or shouldn’t participate in voting.
Let me state, I’m a proud, non-voter. I’ve also been called, among other things, an activist. An odd combination, I know.
When my wife, dog, turtle and I decided to spend the ENTIRE election year, at the wheel, on the streets, and talking to the people. We did it without the comforts of home or security of income, and as my teeth scream out in pain, I’m realizing it’s sorta nuts - but desperate times call for desperate measures.
One of the reasons we set out on our journey was to find a reason to vote. Guess what?
WE HAVE YET TO FIND A REASON TO VOTE!
Sad thing is, we have found more reasons to turn our back on the system and not vote, than to participate in, what seems to be a fraudulent and criminal system.
Because of my over two decades of fighting the good fight for the stepped on and shunned, I feel I can represent the zipcodes that haven’t mattered in a long time, the blue collar, working class, non-voting zipcodes.
Even you Ralph Nader - the candidate for the forgotten, has forgotten the forgotten.
Fuck the colleges, come to the canneries!
Forget the college educated, future employers of the world that you and the rest of the ‘politicians’ seem to cater to with your debates and speaking engagements. I’m talking about the working stiffs in the factories. You remember the truckers, the plumbers, the cashiers and waitresses of the world. Hell Nader, you come from, and have built your name on the working class, so why not a visit after all these years?
As logic goes, why fight over the same handful of voters?
Why not a visit to an Indian reservation or two.
Why not the ghetto?
Isn’t this where the apathetic as well as a majority of non-voters reside?
Nader, I see you have a new onslaught of YouTube videos that are directed at the apathetic, but what’s the percentage of computers in the ghetto or on the rez? And, let’s say they have access to and see one of your video tributes to apathy… why would they care, they are apathetic after all.
Maybe if you registered 20% of the non-voters, a third party candidate might have a fighting chance.
I challenge you Ralph Nader to a debate on the virtues of not voting.
I challenge ALL of the third party candidates to a debate on voting and or not voting.
Here’s audio from a debate we participated in regarding “to vote or not to vote” with American Atheist Lawyer Edwin Kagin. (fwd a bit to get to the debate)This was for his radio show, Answers in Atheism. http://www.answersinatheism.net/

Interested in voting? Registration deadlines are here, check this site out for more info: http://www.voteforchange.com/
Interested in making real change, venture outside of your neighborhood in to the scary parts of town. Find out why the lower the income is, the lower the voter turn out will be. Once you do, work to fix the system from the ground up.

2 vote or NOT 2 vote. [59:46m]:
